Bill and I love our life on the road. We love working in magnificent places like Yellowstone, and we love living in different areas of the country. But the best part of our life on the road is the friends we have made.
Tonight Bill cooked up a batch of lasagna. Normally, I am the cook in the family (unless we're grilling...Bill does all the grilling), and I've made lasagna in the past. But for some reason, it just taste better when Bill makes it. And tonight it was delicious! Best of all, we were able to share it with some of our RVing buddies.
We first met Rich and Ronda in 2008 while working at Yellowstone National Park. This winter they are in a nearby RV site, so we get to visit often. We always have a good time together.
Phil and Victoria also joined us for dinner. We first met them about 14 months ago. It was November 2010. Bill and I were in Florida visiting friends and family. Phil and Victoria were following our blog, and they dropped me an email. They were in the early stages of beginning the fulltime lifestyle and said they would like to meet if we would be in their vicinity. We had a nice visit and apparently didn't scare them away from the fulltiming lifestyle. : )
In just five months they sold their house, bought their rig, and hit the road. Having just completed a workamping stint with Amazon in Kansas, they emailed and said they were heading our way.
What a great evening! We talked and laughed, and before we knew it, it was past 10:00. Phil and Victoria will be around for a few more days, so I'm sure we will get a few more visits in.
What are the chances that folks from New York, Connecticut, Georgia, Florida, Oklahoma and California would all end up having dinner together in Benson, Arizona? That's why we love the lifestyle!

LOVE that last line!! That's what we've been doing although our friends from list isn't as diverse as yours. We have just the East Coast unless you count where we were born. LOL Virginia, NC, SC and we all met for fun at Silver springs in florida.
I really am looking forward to that special lifestyle! We are getting very close... more and more going out of the house (wooo hooo!)
We share with all our rally friends which are mostly from the northern east coast
It's so nice to find others that share the great lifestyle you have!
Prayers for you in your travels :)
