Grant Campground has now been open 3 1/2 weeks. We filled all 429 sites on our second night, and we have been full every night since, checking out and checking in around 200 reservations each day. If we average 4 people per site, that is over 1,700 people in the campground. We have a larger population than most towns out there!
Of course, with this many people, things happen. So far this year, we have had one guest flown out with heart issues, we've had two guests transported to the hospital in Idaho Falls after being involved in a serious motorcycle accident. We've had two separate instances where wind blew trees down on tents...thank goodness, no one was injured. And most recently, we had two of our guests end up in jail, and their camping equipment was towed from the campsite. I never did learn why these guys got arrested...oh well.
As you can see, we are having an exciting summer at Grant Campground. But, between you and me, I could deal with a little less excitement!
